2.6.x Status: None
2.5.x Status: Won't Fix
2.4.x Status: None

 Description  « Hide
The current email service doesn't support attachments. Mailtool works with attachments but bypasses the email service. I'd like to add support to the email service for attachments as 1) part of the email or 2) linked items in resources.

Assigning to 2.5.x branch manager for inclusion in 2.5.x. This change was originally scheduled for 2.5.0 but had been delayed.

Carl, is there a description in Confluence of what you've implemented? If not, could you provide a quick one here so folks know what this is about, how it might be QA'ed, and which of the options you suggested above you actually went with? Thanks.

Switched to a task so that the 2.5.x merge status could be set.

Although as it's a new feature (of the API) so I'm not sure how valid it is to be merged into the 2.5.x branch.

It would appear that this was merged to trunk quite awhile ago, such that it is in 2.6. So I'm setting the Fix Version to 2.6.0-alpha-01.

Matthew, as I think you determined, this is a new feature, so it is ineligible for merging to a maintenance branch. If there is a lot of interest in it, however, maybe you or someone could attach a 2.5-compatible patch here?
