This was a requested item in Michigan's Winter 2006 user survey (1,357 instructors & 2,485 students).

Students, who do not often use the "Help" guide, could use some in-tool hints or suggestions for submitting assignments so that the submission is completed successfully. For example, there could be a link on students' view of the Assignments tool that reads "How to submit an assignment". This could be a note for the students to read or a link to an existing page in the Help Docs.

[Bulk Comment] This issue is reported as affecting Sakai 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.1, and/or 2.2; however, it is not reported as affecting a currently supported version of Sakai (2.3 or 2.4). If this issue is indeed still a concern for a supported version of Sakai, please do re-open the issue and add the appropriate 2.3 and/or 2.4 version to the Affects Version field. (Please do not remove existing Affects Versions when adding the new Affects Versions.)

This has been incorporated into 2.6 (as of alpha-02).
