Forums / Template Settings / Open and close date set in template settings does not carry over to new forum settings

      Description

      I logged into sakai as the instructor, scue, for the 1_2_3_Fall 2008 site. On the Template Settings screen in forums, I changed the Availability to "Specify dates to open (show) and/or close (hide)" and set an open and close date. I then clicked Save. Then I clicked the New Forum link from the Home screen and found that Availability is set to "Show immediately". I would expect it to be set to "Specify dates to open (show) and/or close (hide)" as it is in the Template Settings screen. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

      The same issue occurs when creating a new Topic. It does not inherit the availability of the parent Forum.
