Description
I would like for 2.5 to make the portal.pda.experimental.iframesuppress property:
(a) no longer experimental
(b) the default be :all:
This feature causes the tool content to be in-lined into the portal navigation when using the PDA portal. I think a few sites are using this formally in production and many may be using it informally in production without knowing it.
In all my testing of the PDA portal, I always have this turned on and have had no problems with it. If problems are found - it is an easy property change to simply switch back to an explicit list of tools for which inline is allowed.
To be frank, very few PDAs actually work with Sakai without this feature. The iPhone does work and I think some of the Nokia palmtops running Linux work. But other PDAs simply do not work at all without this feature. So while there might be little issues with this feature (i.e. it might break 2% of the time) - with the feature off - on PDA devices it is broken for 90% of the PDA devices that use it.
Here are some related JIRAs.
