Description
When instructors of record add a site for a course that they have taught before, the new site has the same name as the previous semester's site. With the tabbed interface, a professor who teaches the same course regularly over a number of semesters- such as intro language classes which may be offered 3 or 4 semesters a year- the instructor could end up with half a dozen sites with the same name. We have several suggestions for the problem:
1. Allow professors to control site names [last resort]
2. Rework Tab management screen so that additional information, such as the term a class was taught, is visible in the selection interface so that instructors can easily differentiate between courses when sorting and arranging them. [good solution]
3. Tack on additional characters to system-defined names to designate the term a course was taught. [most preferred solution, if it's possible]
