RIS format specs: http://www.refman.com/support/risformat_intro.asp
RIS format is a way of formatting bibliographic references, so a reference to: 'My Extremely Boring Research' in the Journal of Tedious Studies vol 53, 1997, pp. 130-145 gets a set of tags for each element. The RIS format appears to allow alternative tags, so the tag for author can be both AU - and A1 - . CamTools appears only to recognise one set of tags, and not the alternate set.
I uploaded the following file into the Citations importer in Resources:
It correctly produced the following citation:
However, if I edit the file to include some of the alternate tags ( the file is here: https://camtools.cam.ac.uk/access/content/group/0fab0cbc-1950-4bfc-b535-6ea9f0ab3785/Citatations test/test3.txt )
then I get the following citation, where the fields using the alternate tags have been lost:
So Resources doesn't recognise all the elements of RIS-formatted text, which means that sometimes imported citations lose important fields.
