To recreate in Firefox
1. Create a new portfolio
2. Choose the design your own portfolio option
3. Add a new page using the simple html layout option.
4. Copy and paste a page from a Word file containing different fonts/colors/tables (sample attached) using the paste from word button in the RTE.
5. Add page. Save portfolio.
6. Return to edit the page.
7. Try to save the page
When pasting from firefox it puts double quotes around the font-family and causes the page not to be parsed correctly. When it is copied from word in ie, it uses single quotes.
for example: in firefox <div> <span style="font-size: 20pt; font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; color: #c0504d;">Test</span> </div>
<div><span color:="" ms="" sans="" comic="" style="font-size: 20pt;">Test</span></div>.
I replicated this on our server (our server but an rSmart instance) and then on IU's 2.6.x Branch server at http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/QA/Test+Instances.
I have attached an example of a page a user was trying to copy and paste from Word into the freeform tool.
