A) In small devices the breadcrumb overwhelms. Cut down for small devices to a link to the site one is in. Add an additional link to the logo to get to the top level view (the sites list). So:
Logo (link to sites) > Site (link to current site)
All the links are in the response - the pda.css for small devices will hide the extra ones. An institution that does not want to hide them can unhide them.
2) Add additional rendering capabilities to devices to which the following @media uber selector applies:
"@media screen and (max-device-width: 480px)"
1) provide CSS based trim and ellipsis for site titles that go over the width of the viewport
2) use css3 selectors for devices that understand them to differentiate items in the breadcrumb, switch to full view and login/logout buttons
C) Modify the <meta /> tag in pda.vm to make changes in orientation smoother (portrait/landscape)
D) Modify how links to child sites are displayed (passing control over to the CSS)
E) Take strings out of the pda.vm template and put into bundle
F) Change how links in the site menus are rendered (make entire block clickable) and style them more in accordance to practice.
