      Hide
      1. In a site with at least 3 students, create a quiz with several types of questions, at least one of each of the following:
        • Short Answer/Essay
        • Multiple choice, single selection with 4 or more answer options
        • Multiple choice, multiple selection with 4 or more answer options
        • True False
        • Fill in the Blank
        • Numeric Response
        • Calculated question
        • Hot Spot with a large image
(You need lots of questions to get a good view of the stats screen)
      2. In the Settings, allow for Unlimited Submissions, leave other settings default, then Save Settings and Publish.
      3. Submit the quiz as various students, getting a variety of different answers correct/incorrect. You'll want some questions to have more than one student answering correctly and some to have combinations of correct/incorrect, since that's what the stats are supposed to show.
        1. Log in as Student 1, submit the quiz, answering all the questions correctly.
        2. Still as Student 1, submit the quiz AGAIN, answering some questions correctly and some incorrectly (this is to allow you to see the different views of stats: All Submissions vs. Highest Submission)
        3. Log in as Student 2, submit the quiz, answering some questions correctly and some incorrectly.
        4. Log in as Student 3, submit the quiz, answering some questions correctly and some incorrectly.
      4. Log in as instructor and go to Published Copies > Scores > Statistics.
      5. Scroll up and down on the page and confirm whether the display gives you a good idea of what students answered, etc.
      6. At the top of the page, select All Submissions from the View drop-down.
      7. Scroll up and down on the page and confirm:
        • The number of submissions and stats changed now that you see both of Student 1's submissions included.
        • Whether the display gives you a good idea of what students answered, etc.

      Description

Due to Sakai 11 and 12 skin changes, the Statistics page of the Samigo grading screens was made very difficult to read.  Most questions do not display the question text and all their stats within the same screen (requires scrolling down due to size of colored bars and unneccessary white space), so it's not useful to get a visual of how the question was answered.

The display should be condensed or stripped down to look more like the Sakai 10 version of the screen.

Here are screen shots to demonstrate how it looked in Sakai 10 vs. how a few parts of it look now in Sakai 11-12:

Sakai 10.2 Stats, including Final Scores table and partial stats for a question

      Sakai 11.2 Stats

Stats for an individual question, with font size tiny AND modification in SnagIt to cut out white space:
