      • Create an assessment
      • Add a question, like T/F, M/C
      • Select No to "Display Point Value while students are taking the Exam"
      • Fill in the rest, giving it a point value
      • Add another question
      • Select Yes to "Display Point Value while students are taking the Exam"

Take Publish and take the exam as a student

Verify that the point value is not displayed for the first question and is for the second.

Verify other files modified as part of this change like published settings and settings are correct. This option should be on each question type, but it's possible a few newer questions types are missing this option and would need a little additional work.

I would specifically verify Extended Matching Items and Calculated Question to see if this works there.

      Description

Some of our faculty would like to be able to hide the number of points
the question is worth for a multiple answer question in a quiz. For
example, if there is a multiple answer question where there are 5
possible answers but only 3 are correct, the student might realize that
there are 3 correct choices. In the upper right corner of the question
Sakai displays the question is worth 3 points which most students will
know means to pick 3 of the 5. This gives away part of the answer. There
should be an option to suppress how many points the question is worth.
