      Description

We have users who can't load a huge PDF and want to download it. If you add a resource, the user can't right click and do a download. That's because we interpose a link tracker page.

Fortunately that's no longer needed. Originally it was the only way we could come up with to record the fact that the use had clicked the item. For items that are required that matters. However now, all accesses go through /access/lessonbuilder, so we can record it there.

That lets us redo things so it's a normal link. In addition, if the item is required and the student hasn't seen it before, I add a javascript on click item that refreshes the screen after 3 sec. That makes sure that the icon changes from * to check. The user doesn't see this refresh normally, since it happens in the background, with the resource on the front page.

The javascript doesn't seem to activate if the user does right-click download. If it matters, the student will have to refresh the page themselves.
