      Description

      Currently the kernel always generates a URL to a site in the form /site/

      {siteId}

      , you can have aliases for a site but these are never used when generating a URL to that site.

      The kernel should allow a service to take responsibility for aliasing sites. A base implementation could use the alias service, but other implementations could exist.

      The provision of the aliasing shouldn't be inside the kernel as it will be the portal that has to parse any alias and so keeping the generating of the aliases and the parsing of them in the same place makes the division of responsibilities clearer.
