ISSUE:

The date formats for syllabus items in the Syllabus tool are different for Instructor and Student views. The format used in the Student view (which is more human-friendly and offers the day of the week) should likely be the format in both views but I welcome community feedback.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:

1. Create a site with the Syllabus tool.
2. Add at least one, published syllabus item with start and end dates.
3. Toggle between the "View Site as Student" and "Exit View."
4. You'll notice different date/time formats between each role.
   • Instructor format: YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM AM/PM
   • Student format: DDD MMM DD, YYYY HH:MM AM/PM
