GBNG > Incorrect default tooltip when toggling mutually exclusive drop/keep settings

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: CLOSED
    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: 19.0, 20.0 [Tentative]
    • Fix Version/s: 12.6, 19.0, 20.0 [Tentative]
    • Component/s: Gradebook
    • Labels:
      None
    • 19 status:
      Resolved
    • 12 status:
      Resolved
    • Test Plan:
      Hide
      1. Gradebook > Settings > Categories > click 'Categories Only'
      2. Create a Category
      3. Enable 'Keep Highest'
      4. Enter a positive, non-zero integer for the 'Keep Highest' value for the category you created
      5. Click 'Save Changes'
      6. Enable 'Drop highest'
      7. Hover mouse over disabled 'Drop Highest' text field for the category you created
        1. If bug is present, tooltip will erroneously give the user the impressive that the field is disabled because not all items in the category have the same point value ("To apply drop highest, drop lowest, or keep highest, all items in the category must have the same score value")
        2. If bug is fixed, tooltip will correctly tell the user that the two features are mutually exclusive ("'Drop highest' / 'Drop lowest' cannot be used in the same category with 'Keep Highest'.")

NOTE: keep in mind the bug reported in SAK-40799, which is unrelated to the messaging changes proposed in this ticket.

      Description

The default tooltip on the disabled input field refers to the point values, rather than the mutually exclusive settings message you should see. There's also a reference to an inconsistently capitalized setting in the mutually exclusive tooltip.
