      Description

In Gradebook, there is a view columns drop down, where the instructor can choose to view or hide different columns. Each item has a checkbox next to it, but currently the view state is color #FFF, as compared to the hide state which is color #FFFFF. The contrast ratio between these colors is at about 1.6:1. There does not appear to be any text alternative to indicate visible/hidden. To increase the accessibility for vision impaired users, and even for regular users, this should be changed.

Instead of changing colors, the visibility should be indicated in an accessible way. For example, a check box with an appropriate label to indicate visible vs. hidden could be selected if shown, and empty if hidden. The view columns button could be renamed Show/Hide columns, and the drop down menu could be removed as well. The Show All/Hide All buttons should be kept.
