Scenario 1: As an instructor, set-up an assessment to deliver feedback (i.e. at least "Student Response" and "Correct Response") x days/hours AFTER the assessment deadline to submitters.

      1. Attempt to configure the assessment to deliver feedback to non-submitters before the assessment deadline. You should receive an error and not be allowed to save the settings.
      2. Now, configure the date to deliver feedback to non-submitters x + 1 days/hours after the assessment deadline
      3. SU as a student (Student "A") and submit the assessment. Upon submission, does this student have access to the feedback? Student A should not.
      4. SU as another student (Student "B") and do NOT submit. Does this student have access to the feedback? Student B should not.
      5. On or after x days/hours, SU as Student A. Does student A have access to the feedback? Student A should have access to feedback.
      6. Immediately after performing step 5, SU as Student B. Does student B have access to the feedback? Student B should not.
      7. On or after x + 1 days/hours, SU as Student B. Does student B have access to the feedback? Student B should have access to feedback.

      Description

In Samigo, the only way for a student to see the answers to an assessment is to actually submit it.

However, there are some cases where allowing students access to the answers in the feedback area would provide value.

USE CASE: For example, assume an instructor has weekly quizzes in his/her class and decides to drop n number of the lowest scores. Students may opt to "skip" (i.e. not submit) those n number of assessments. In this case, those students will not have access to the questions and the answers if the instructor decides to share this feedback with the submitters. This instructor may reason that the non-submitters would still benefit from having access to the questions and its answers.

It's true that instructors can print the exam and its answers to a PDF, and then share it with this students. And while this is a useful work-around, it would require instructors to print each exam in several cases for the scenario described above.

I am proposing a checkbox in the "Grading and Feedback" tab in Samigo Settings. This checkbox could employ language such as: "Share selected feedback below to students who do not submit." This checkbox would also be accompanied by a date picker field, where the instructor would need to provide a date to give feedback to the non-submitters. This date picker field would need to force instructors to set the feedback date AFTER the assessment deadline (in case the instructor forgets or does not set a date for the submitters). This would also prevent students from seeing the answers before they took the test.
