In Trunk, find a course site that contains some test student accounts and add the Assignments tool. Then:

      1. Click the Assignments tool.
      2. Click the "Options" tab.
      3. Click/Enable "Use the new Sakai Grader to grade assignments" and then click "Update."
      4. Now, add a new assignment with an "Open Date" of now, and submission type of "Attachments Only" or "Inline Only." (Note: I have not tested with "Inline and Attachments"). Click "Post."
      5. Now, log in as a test student account.
      6. Click on the Assignments tool and then click the assignment.
      7. Upload a test attachment (or type in some arbitrary text if inline) and then click "Save Draft."
      8. Log back in as the instructor, and navigate to the course site.
      9. Click the Assignments tool and click "Grade" beneath the assignment.
      10. Click the test student's name (Note: Observe how it indicates that it is a "Draft").
      11. Observe now how the instructor can view the draft if it's inline. Alternatively, the instructor can click the "1" beneath "Submitted Attachments" and then click the corresponding attachment to view it.

If this has been fixed, then the UI should look as if the student has no submission in the Sakai Grader.

      Description

In Trunk (and in 20), if instructors opt to use the new Sakai Grader in Assignments, then they are currently able to view student drafts (either attachments or inline).

This should not be the case, as the current "legacy" UI does not allow instructors to view student drafts.

If this is an intentional change with the new Sakai Grader, then there should be some textual language clearly indicating that what instructors are viewing is a DRAFT and not a final submission.
