      In Trunk, navigate to a course site that includes more than one student roster, and then:

      1. Click "Site Info."
      2. Click "Add Participants" and manually add a user in the "Student" role.
      3. Now, click "Manage Groups."
      4. Click the "Auto Groups" tab.
      5. Now, for Step 1: click the "Student" role and click "Continue."
      6. For Step 2: Click "Yes - (Select members from specific section/rosters, who fit the role(s) selected in Step 1)."
      7. A table of selectable sections/rosters will now populate. Observe how "manually added users" is not a selectable option. 

      If this has been fixed, then "manually added users" will be a selectable option upon which to include in auto group creation.

      Description

      With the new Auto-Groups functionality in Trunk, instructors have the option to auto-create groups on the basis of role and roster! This is a fantastic new feature. 

      This sub-task consists of the following:

      Often times participants are manually added to a course site, and thus are not tied to a specific roster/section. 

      If instructors have a desire to target group creation around specific sections/rosters and manually added users, then the current functionality does not appear to support this.

      For example, if you manually add a user to a site, and then proceed to step two in the auto-groups creation wizard, "Manually added users" does not feature as a selectable option to include in the groups. This option should be added to accommodate this possibility. 

      In addition, the envisioned prototype did account for this possibility, and may be helpful to consult if needed (see also the screenshot below).
