      Description

If you set any custom permissions when creating a new Forum topic, those permissions do not  save when the topic is created. You must edit the topic and re-select the permissions in order to have the modified permissions save.

My video shows the permissions reset occurring with groups, as that was what I was actually testing at the time, but I have confirmed it happens in sites with no groups created and you modify the permissions for the course roles. (video has no audio)
