      Description

In Tests & Quizzes - Numeric response questions, there is a situation with a rather misleading warning message. If an instructor creates an answer with a range using the pipeline |, but doesn't have the smallest/lowest number first, when he tries to save the question there is a warning: Please use only accepted characters within numeric response fields.

The problem isn't that he used an unaccepted character, but that the numbers were not in the proper order. I would suggest changing the warning message in this situation to "Please ensure the lowest number is listed first" or something similar.

When using positive numbers, most people would assume this - you would put {1.5|2.0}, not {2.0|1.5}. However, I noticed this situation with an instructor using negative numbers.  {-1.5|-2.0} gives the accepted characters warning. He had to enter it as {-2.0|-1.5} and was extremely confused by the warning message that he had to only use the allowed characters.
