      Description

Issue: When you delete a gradebook item, the message in the confirmation popup says the following:

      Delete Item
Please be aware that deleting this Gradebook item cannot be undone and scores entered will be removed from the gradebook.

There's no indication of which item you're deleting, and if you have several gradebook items, it's easy to accidentally delete the wrong one and lose a significant number of grades and comments.

Proposed Fix: Include the title of the Gradebook item to be deleted in the Gradebook delete confirmation pop-up. Preferably, this would be added in its own sentence in the confirmation and with <strong> tags, so it stands out and gets emphasis for users of assistive technology.

      Suggested new text:

      Delete Item

Are you sure you want to delete Item Title?

Please be aware that deleting this Gradebook item cannot be undone and scores entered will be removed from the gradebook.

Some additional context for this request:

An instructor inadvertently deleted the wrong gradebook item (one containing 20+ grades and paragraph-long comments he had entered). This was especially frustrating given that Gradebook Classic really made you aware what you were deleting and it would be permanently gone once you confirmed to delete.

Gradebook Classic's delete item process required the following steps, and the title of the affected item WAS included on the confirmation screen:

      1. Select the item.
      2. Select Remove Gradebook item from gradebook
      3. You would be taken to a confirmation screen with the following text:

Are you sure you want to remove "item title"?

Then you had to select the checkbox Remove this Gradebook item and all associated scores from the gradebook AND click Remove to confirm.

Although I consider Gradebook Classic's multiple confirmations to be excessive, the key point is that the confirmation screen told you what you were confirming to delete before you deleted it.
