      1. Create 2 quizzes which allow only 1 submission; submit to each as the same student
      2. Modify the settings of one of the quizzes so that it is closed (set the due/retract date in the past)
      3. For the quiz that is closed, navigate to the Submission Status tab
      4. Verify there is a link by the student who submitted which says "Allow Retake" (not "Allow retake?")
      5. Click the "Allow Retake" link
      6. Verify the resulting interface warns you that in it's current state the retake would not be available to the student, and informs you how to rectify the situation
      7. Click the "Cancel" button; verify it takes you back to the Submission Status tab
      8. Click the "Allow Retake" link again, then click the "Allow Retake and Go to Settings" button
      9. Verify you are taken to the Settings UI for the quiz in question
      10. Alter the Due and/or Late Acceptance date so the quiz is available again; Save
      11. For the other quiz which has been open the entire time, navigate to the Submission Status tab
      12. Click the "Allow Retake" link for the student who submitted
      13. Verify there is no warning, and the button text is "Allow Retake"
      14. Click the "Cancel" button; verify it takes you back to the Submission Status tab
      15. Click the "Allow Retake" link for the student who submitted again, then click the "Allow Retake" button.
      16. Log back in as the student and verify you are able to make 1 more submission to both quizzes

      Description

Testing SAK-44116. if the due date has passed, the instructor still sees the "Allow retake?" link for the student, even though the student cannot retake the quiz.

If the quiz is not available to the student for a retake due to the due date or late allowed date having passed, at the very least, the instructor should receive a notification that the student can no longer retake the quiz because the due/late date has passed.

Currently, there is no warning to the instructor, so the instructor will think they have given the student the ability to retake the quiz, when they actually haven't.

      Two suggestions for handling this:

      1) When the instructor clicks the Allow retake? link, in the next screen display a message that the due/late date has passed and the student can no longer retake the quiz (that way the instructor can decide if they want to adjust any dates).

      2) Remove the Allow retake? link per student as their due/late date passes. (Since exceptions have different dates, it would have to be done per student.) In this case, there is no explanation to the instructor why s/he can't allow a retake.
