    Description

Widgets on the Dashboard which have a large number of items to display become unwieldy very quickly and require excessive scrolling. For example, the Announcements and Grades widgets in the attached screenshot have so many items that they are completely overwhelming. This can happen very easily if the user has a handful of courses and each course contains several gradebook items or announcements. For example, if a user has five courses with 30 gradebook items per course, they would see a list of 150 grade items all shown at once in the Home Dashboard.

There needs to be a way to limit the number of items shown at once (perhaps only 10 by default?), and there should be paging options to allow users to view additional items or select how many items they want to see at a time. Also, there should be an option to filter each widget by course/site as well as search and sorting options specific to each widget.
