      Description

When a dropbox is viewed by an instructor, the student folders are exposed as ids rather than eids, e.g.:

      http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8082/dav/group-user/ce756992-a0ea-4cda-806b-b37cce312386/6778fba8-9df2-474b-006e-7984ed1fbeae/

where 6778fba8-9df2-474b-006e-7984ed1fbeae is the id of student with eid "smstudent".

This makes WebDAV access to the dropbox less useful for instructors, as it's impossible to associate the folders with individual students. It's also inconsistent with the rest of Sakai, as we're not exposing the id to end-users anywhere else.

In 2.4 we don't have any interface to show people how to get to Dropboxes by WebDav - is this correct?

I think the WebDAV links for Dropbox should be restored.

I second Stephen's comment. If the EIDs are showing again rather than EIDs, then we should definitely not hide this functionality.

As an aside to this, is there a way to display the person's name, not their ID (login ID) when using Webdav? Our users log in with a NetID (a combination of letters and numbers based on their initials), which makes it difficult for an instructor to know which student owns which dropbox since their full name is not shown. Is this even possible?
