      Description

I'm just filing it as a feature request in-case anyone ever has time to look at this. As time goes on, support for client side java applets just continues to decrease. Apple isn't shipping it anymore, and it's been an optional download for Linux and Windows for quite some time now. Flash still has decent availability and is still pretty much required for operation of anything, but eventually the HTML5 media capture API will probably win out. This is the only thing that a java applet is really needed for in Sakai and I'd pick flash over java applet.

This Flash package looks like it does the job pretty easily without needing any kind of backend. The flash is controlled with javascript and saved to the backend as a wav.
