Under Statistics > User (click on a user's name), the statistics view will give you a list of each message and its subject that the user has authored, but there is no way to see the message.
This allows the user to expand each message to display what the user's message actually was. Our faculty asked for this as it helps in grading student participation.
It was developed under 2.5.x.

Attaching some screenshots of this enhancement.
In user-stats-1.jpg, there are twiggles on the left when you click on a particular user's stats. Clicking this will expand the user's message as seen in user-stats-2.png.

We have brought this into the rSmart Sakai CLE for version 2.6.2 based on client requests for this kind of functionality for grading courses with heavy forum use and/or larger rosters and would like to see it adopted in the community release.
